Tate County – MDOT crews demolished the Interstate 55 northbound bridge over State Route 306 in Tate County. The demolition was part of a bridge replacement project to replace two overpasses near the town of Coldwater.

US 90 – MDOT crews installed a pedestrian bridge over U.S. Highway 90 in Biloxi. The bridge was assembled offsite prior to installation. Crews lowered the bridge into place in the span of a few hours.

MDOT will host the Eighth Annual Safety Fair on Saturday, April 9. The free event will be held at the Mississippi Trade Mart on the Fairgrounds in Jackson from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

MDOT continues honoring its 100th year by unveiling a Fallen Worker Memorial on the grounds of the Administration Building.

This project adds 9.5 miles of new four-lane roads to the existing infrastructure on State Route 9 providing for a more safe and durable road while creating better access to the Toyota production plant.
